3.1  Intended use

The Slimdrive SL NT is designed solely for use

 

à

in dry rooms

 

à

in automatic door systems for horizontally moving door leaves

 

à

in entrances and interior areas of pedestrian traffic, in commercial plants and public areas

The Slimdrive SL NT and the Slimdrive SL NT-FR must not be used as fire or smoke control door drives.

The Slimdrive SL NT-FR is approved for use in emergency exits.

The Slimdrive SL NT must not be used as an emergency exit.

3.2  Safety instructions

 

à

The mandatory installation, maintenance and repair work must be performed by properly trained personnel 

authorised by GEZE.

 

à

The country-specific laws and regulations are to be observed during safety-related tests.

 

à

GEZE shall not be liable for injuries or damage resulting from unauthorised modification of the system, and 

the approval for use in emergency exits is voided when unauthorised changes are made (Slimdrive SL NT-FR).

 

à

GEZE is not liable if products from other manufacturers are used with GEZE equipment.

 

à

Furthermore, only original GEZE parts may be used for repair and maintenance work.

 

à

The connection to the power supply must be made by a professional electrician. Perform the power connec-

tion and equipment earth conductor test in accordance with VDE 0100 Part 610.

 

à

Use a customer-accessible 10-A overload cut-out as the line-side disconnecting device.

 

à

Protect the display programme switch against unauthorised access.

 

à

The detection field of the movement detector in the direction of the emergency exit must satisfy the AutSchR 

directive.

 

à

In compliance with Machine Directive 2006/42/EC, a risk analysis must be performed and the door system 

identified in accordance with CE Identification Directive 93/68/EEC before the door system is commissioned.

 

à
