Book Ten:
Repeating Text and Objects
Repeat functions not only add design elements to your job, but also can save you time by
automatically merging text from a list or a number sequence with non-changing text. This book
covers these topics in the following chapters:
Chapter 45: Repeating Objects — Text or Shapes
, describes how to repeat a shape or groups of
shapes. You can repeat in different directions or at an angle, and also change the size of the
shape as you repeat.
Chapter 46: Merging Text and Numbers
, introduces you to a powerful tool that allows you to
repeat template text while merging unique information into each repeat. A typical application is
a group of name tags, each one saying “Hello My Name Is” followed by a different individual’s
name. You can also generate a series of numbers added to the template text (such as plaques
saying “Room Number”) and incrementing the numbers automatically.
