FLASH mode switch:

 To switch  to flash mode , the  order is as follows:

 

Macro mode switch:

 To switch between 

Basic

 and 

Macro

 photography.

Power On/Off

 

Slide the lens cover  down gently. The 

Start Screen

 appears on  the LCD. The power is on after you hear two

beeps.

 

To turn the camera off, slide the lens cover up to turn off the  power.

Battery Life Indicator

(1) 

 Full Battery Power

(2) 

 Medium Battery Power

(3) 

 Low Battery Power (No flash available at this status. You need to load new batteries to continue

operation.)

(4) 

 No Battery Power

Auto Power OFF Function

If no operation is carried out for a fixed amount of time (about 30 sec), the power is turned OFF to prevent
battery wear. This is called Auto Power OFF.

How to Take Pictures

Put your wrist in the wrist strap and hold the camera firmly with both hands.  Look at the subject image through the
viewfinder window.

NOTE:

 

The pictures taken will be blurred if the camera is shaken during shooting. Please use a stand or a tripod to
avoid blurring images caused by an  unstable camera in shadowy locations.

 

Do not block the 

Red-eye Reduction LED 

when holding the camera.

Basic Operation

 

Turn on the power of the camera.

 

Press and release the shutter button to take a picture. (At this time,  you will hear a beep and  the 

LED

 will flash.

When the flash  is over, the camera is ready to take the  next photo.)

 

The LCD will display and add up the number of pictures taken.

 

When the internal memory or SmartMedia Card is full, the  following message appears on the LCD display and
the camera will beep four  times. No photos can be taken after this.

                        Memory full

Movie recording

1.  Turn on the power of the camera.
2.  Press 

SELECT

 button to turn on/off 

Movie

 photography function. Press 

SHUTTER

 button to confirm. (Two

beeps can be heard from the camera.)

3.  Press 

SHUTTER

 button to start recording.

4.  Press 

SHUTTER

 button again to stop recording.

5.  Recorded images will be saved in the camera with the AVI file format. You can use the USB cable to download

images to a PC.

NOTE:

 When you  enable the continuous recording function, it will be switched to CIF (320 x 240) automatically.

Basic/Macro Photography

Slide the

 Macro

 button down on the side of camera to switch to 

Macro

 mode.

 

Basic mode:

 For a normal distance shot (About  60cm ~ Infinity).

 

Macro mode:

 For a Macro shot (About 15 ~ 25cm).
