Attaching the Strap
Insert the thin end of the strap into the strap holder.
Slide the other end of the strap through the loop.
Pull the strap tightly.
Loading the Batteries
Turn off the power of the camera.
Slide the switch on the battery cover in the direction indicated by the arrow.
Insert the batteries as shown on the inside of the cover.
Close and lock the battery cover.
NOTE:
We recommend that you gently open the battery cover to avoid damaging it.
Inserting/Removing the SmartMedia Card
Turn off the power of the camera.
Slide the switch on the card slot cover in the direction shown below.
Insert the SmartMedia Card in the direction of the arrow.
Close the card slot cover.
Remove the SmartMedia Card in the direction of the arrow.
NOTE:
•
The SmartMedia Card specification for this camera is: 3.3V (4/8/16/32/64/128MB).
•
If you insert the Smart Media card in the wrong direction, it won’t fit. Insert the card gently to avoid
damage.
•
If a write-protect sticker is attached at the write-protect area, this message will
be displayed on the
LCD display. Data can no longer be recorded to or erased from the card.
•
If the camera detects no SmartMedia Card, gently wipe the metal interface of the card with a soft cloth
and reload the card again.
Button Modes
•
Shutter button:
Press this button to take pictures or to confirm selected item or mode.
•
Mode button:
Press this button to switch to required function or photography mode. The sequential order of
functions is as follows:

Select button:
A. Works with
MODE
button for selecting functions and modes.
B. To turn on/off movie recording mode.
