2.6 Taking your first still picture
Before taking your first still picture, ensure you have read “Before
you start” on

To take a still picture.
1.
Turn the camera on and make sure it is in
photo mode

Use the LCD screen to frame the picture.
3.
Press the shutter button to capture the picture.
The picture will automatically be saved with a unique file name.

Before shooting your first video, ensure you have read “Before you

To shoot a video:
1.
Turn on the camera and change the mode to
video mode

Use the LCD screen to frame your video.
3.
Press the shutter button to begin recording.
4.
Press the shutter button again to stop recording.
The video will automatically be saved with a unique file name.

Read this section to learn how to connect the camera to a host
computer to transfer files or to use the camera as a PC camera for
web-conferences.
Connect the camera to a host computer using the USB port and the
USB cable provided as shown.
