Setting Date and Time
You can manually set date and time displayed on your phone. However, if a Network Time
Protocol (NTP) server is deployed and enabled by your administrator, then date and time is
automatically retrieved over the Internet from the server and manually setting date and time
will not be possible. You'll receive this message:
Notes:
•
It's recommended to implement an NTP server which is configured by your system
administrator (see the 420HD IP Phone Administrator’s Guide).
•
If you're manually setting date and time, i.e., no NTP server is deployed, then after
rebooting the phone or powering off, date and time settings are not retained. Thus, if
you reboot the phone or power off, you need to redefine date and time.
To define date and time:
1.
Access the
Date and Time
screen (MENU key >
Settings
menu >
Date and Time
submenu).
2.
Select the
Date
option and modify using the
Clear
softkey. The date format is
DDMMYYYY.
3.
Press the navigation control's lower rim to navigate to and select the
Time
option.
The time is in the format hhmmss. Modify using the
Clear
softkey.
