Checking Coolant Level
You can check the coolant level when the engine is running or stopped.
1. Locate the coolant overflow jug, near the top of the radiator.
2. Determine coolant level, as follows.
•
If unit is OFF and engine is cool, the coolant level should be between ADD and FULL. If level is at or below
ADD, add coolant.
•
If unit is ON, coolant should be visible in the overflow jug. If not, add coolant.
Adding Coolant
1. Stop engine and let cool for at least 10 minutes.
WARNING
Risk of burns. Do not open coolant system until engine has completely cooled. Doing
so could result in serious injury. (000154)
2. Add coolant to overflow jug, according to the
, until coolant level is between ADD
And FULL.
Fan Belt
Every 500 hours, remove the fan belt and inspect it, as follows.
•
Inspect fan belt for cracks, fraying, and stretching.
•
Inspect pulleys and bearing.
•
Rotate pulleys and feel for hard-turning and unusual sounds.
Fuel System
Check the fuel supply pressure. At the NG inlet port, fuel pressure should be a minimum of 30 PSI (207 kPa) and a
maximum of 150 PSI (1,034 kPa).
NG Fuel Filters
CAUTION
Condensates may contain aggressive or harmful components. Therefore, skin contact
should be avoided. Always wear proper protective clothing and use appropriate tools when
servicing the filter system.

Periodically, inspect and clean the particulate filter drain port and moisture separator drain port (
