LAN Ports Parameters
Label
Description
Metric
Choose metrics to make routing decisions.
IP Address
Type the IP address of your GWR Router in dotted decimal notation.
192.168.1.1 is the factory default IP address.
Subnet Mask
The subnet mask specifies the network number portion of an IP address. The
GWR Router support sub–netting. You must specified subnet mask for your
LAN TCP/IP settings.
Gateway
All incoming packets are forwarded to IP address defined in this field
Alias IP Address
Secondary IP address of the interface. It, also can be used for communication
on the LAN network.
Alias Subnet Mask
Secondary subnet mask of the interface.
Primary DNS
IP address of your primary DNS server
Secondary DNS
IP address of your secondary DNS server
Reload
Click
Reload
to discard any changes and reload previous settings.
Save
Click
Save
button to save your changes back to the GWR Router. Whether you
make changes or not, router will reboot every time you click
Save
.

Settings
– DHCP Server
The GWR Router can be used as a DHCP (
Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol
) server on your
network. A DHCP server automatically assigns available IP addresses to computers on your network. If you
choose to enable the DHCP server option, all of the computers on your LAN must be set to obtain an IP
address automatically from a DHCP server. (By default, Windows computers are set to obtain an IP
automatically.)
