Checking the two steel cables
It is essential to check, clean, lubricate and replace
(latest 96 months) the steel cables to guarantee the
safety of the system.
Steel cable replacement may have a different fre-
quence, depending on the use of the machine.
Clean the steel cables using a soft cloth.
Check that the two steel cables are not worn and have
no broken strands. Pay particular attention to the fixa-
tion points.

Replace the two steel cables and balance mechanism
following the procedure below:
a)
remove the front and side covers of the column
b)
lock the counterweight carriage using the two fixa-
tion screws
c)
disconnect the steel cables from the column (two
Allen screws)
d)
remove the two plates from the top cover (with the
pulleys) of the column
e)
remove the top cover with the pulleys and the motor

f)
