5.1.1 MIC/USB Connection
The MIC/USB connector allows connection of the microphone or another accessory device such
as a Phraselator, a CD player, or a commercial audio device, such as the iPod. Audio played
from an external device using this connection will be mixed with any audio being played
through the LRAD’s Control Module: it will not override any other audio being played. This
connection is accomplished through the optional Auxiliary Audio cable.

The MIC/USB connector allows a USB connection to a PC, which can be used to download
prerecorded audio files onto the Control Module. This connection can also be used to update
the firmware in the Control Module.

This connector provides thirteen #22 socket contacts. Figure 13 shows the pinout for this
