11 Changing the rotational direction
11 Changing the rotational direction
Before installing the actuator, it must be ensured that the information on the actuator product label corresponds to the rota-
tional direction achieved at the end. Before continuing with assembly, the assembly instructions must be selected according to
the design (ST, STR, LF or LFR).
Note: The following instructions relate to standard assembly of the octi-cam (without the option of a lock kit).

2. Install the shaft square socket connection on a properly secured coupling.
3. Make sure that the octi-cam is in the correct position (figure 3). The groove on the shaft must be parallel to the housing.
4. To install the ST version (clockwise closing), turn the housing clockwise by approx. 40–45° when viewed from above (figure
4).
5. Simultaneously insert the two pistons into the housing and press them in until the pistons are engaged. Then turn the hous-
ing anticlockwise when viewed from above until the stroke is completed.
6. In the case of two fully adjusted pistons, make sure that the rotation achieved in relation to the housing axis is 5° over 0° or
0.5° over 0°, depending on the actuator type, and that dimension A on both sides is the same as in figure 5.
