• Use CAT-5e (or better) cables to connect the Sender and Receiver units. The length
of the cable should not exceed 330 feet (100 meters) in length.
• The Digital Audio Extender will accept audio on either the SPDIF or OPT port, on the
Sender unit, and output the audio on both the OPT and SPDIF ports of the Receiver
unit. However, when both digital and optical cables are used to connect the source
to the Sender unit, the SPDIF port has priority. To hear the audio signal on the OPT
port, on the Receiver unit, disconnect the digital coax cable from the SPDIF port on
the Sender unit.
