18.3 Tests
During the tests, the relevant safety-related characteristics of the machine
are checked for condition, availability and function using appropriate
procedures. Appropriate procedures are:

Visual inspections

Functional and efficiency tests

Tests using measuring and testing equipment
The scope, type and schedule of each test must be defined by the
operating company and persons authorised to carry out the test.
