Structure and functions
Automatic animal segregation may consist of the following main components:
● Entrance gate (EG)
● Segregation gate (SG)
Frame structure to steer the animals into the segregation areas
All of the gates are operated by cylinders.
- Vacuum Cylinder
- Connection to the existing vacuum generator
● Automatic animal identification (ID)
Identifies the animals and controls the segregation gate
- The segregation process is controlled automatically by a control unit.

Transmitter/receiver

- The control unit receives the necessary information from the herd
management program.

- The flow of animals is monitored by several scanner in the entrance and
exits.

Variant (AutoSelect 3000)
● This segregation system is connected to the DairyPlan herd management
system and receives the segregation criteria via the central process control PC.
● All animals are fitted with a responder/Rescounter.
● The animals which are marked with a corresponding segregation flag in
DairyPlan will be segregated.
- Rescounter on the front foot (in conjunction with DairyPlan)
- Responder/Rescounter round the neck (in conjunction with DairyPlan)
