Setting up multiple monitors
If your computer came with a dual-DVI port graphics card
installed, you can connect up to two monitors for a
multi-screen panel array. To set up multiple monitors, see the
“Customizing Windows” chapter in your online
User Guide .
Using a removable hard drive
You can use your computer’s removable hard drive carriers for
high-volume backups and convenient backup storage.
To use a removable hard drive for backups:

Make sure that a removable hard drive is installed into
one of the carriers and is formatted for use. For
instructions on installing a removable hard drive, see
“Adding a removable hard drive” on page 55 .

Copy files to the hard drive using Windows Explorer or
a backup utility. For more information, see
“Backing up
files” on page 76 .

Turn off your computer, then remove the hard drive and
store it in a secure location.
Setting up RAID
About RAID
Your computer can use multiple hard drives (if installed) to
increase performance or reliability. RAID (
Redundant Array of
Inexpensive/Independent Disks ) lets your computer use
multiple hard drives more efficiently. Your computer supports
RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5, and RAID 10.
RAID 0 for performance
RAID 0 lets your computer see multiple hard drives as a single
drive. This type of RAID can increase file access speeds, which
is important if you work with video editing, sound editing, and
high-performance games. RAID 0 is also an affordable way to
increase your total file storage capacity.
