Adding or replacing memory modules

Tools you need to complete this task:

To add or replace memory modules:

Complete the steps in 

“Preparing the convertible notebook” on page 5

.

Loosen the screws that secure the memory cover. (These screws cannot be removed.)

3

Remove the memory bay cover. Be careful not to break off the tabs located on the bottom 
of the cover. If the cover does not remove easily, wiggle the cover to loosen it.

Important

Use only memory modules designed for this Gateway convertible notebook.
