Opening the Family Media Center case

Opening the Family Media
Center case

Use the following instructions to remove Family Media Center components and
replace them with replacement parts.

To open the Family Media Center case:

Follow the instructions in “Preventing static electricity discharge” on
page 3.

Shut down your Family Media Center, then disconnect the power cord and
modem, network, and all peripheral device cables.

Press the power button to drain any residual power from your Family Media
Center.

Remove the three cover screws.

Warning

To avoid exposure to dangerous electrical voltages and
moving parts, turn off your Family Media Center, then
unplug the power cord and modem cable before opening
the case.
