Disk errors
If a disk detects an error, it reports the error, which is recorded in the event
log. The following is an example of a disk-detected error.
Using the information in the Sense Key and ASC tables, you can see that this
is a medium error, unrecovered read error—recommended reassignment.
Sense key descriptions
DISK CHAN
FAILED An error has occurred in
communicating on the disk
channel. Check the cables on the
channel.
