Replacing the modular bay component
The modular bay on the notebook is hot-swappable and holds one of the following
components:
■
CD drive
■
DVD drive
■
Memory card reader
■
Secondary battery
To determine the type of drive in a bay, examine the logo on drive tray’s plastic cover.
The logo identifies the drive in the modular bay.
To remove the modular bay component:

If a drive module is in the bay, make sure that the drive is empty.

Turn the notebook over so the bottom is facing up.
3
Slide and hold the modular bay latch closest to the back of the notebook.

Slide the other modular bay release latch. The component moves out slightly.
