1.13 Hazardous areas and residual risks
DEFINITION
A hazardous area is any area inside or in the vicinity of the machine which would constitute a risk
for the health and safety of an exposed person.
This manual indicates all the procedures during which residual risks for the operator are
present. The residual risks can be eliminated by carefully following the procedures indicated
in this manual and by using the recommended personal safety equipment.
Protective gloves must be worn.
Protective footwear must be worn.
Handling area of the packed or unpacked machine. The following risks are present here:
• Impact hazard for operator.
• Crushing hazard.
The following PSE must be used by the operator:
• Protective footwear.
• Protective gloves
NOTE The manufacturer will not be liable for damage or injury to persons,
animals or things resulting from non-compliance with the safety rules or
from the recommended PSE not being worn.
