DX4040 INSTRUCTION AND OPERATING MANUAL (E2.04)
Attach the adjustable shoulder strap onto the analyser by connecting the metal snap
hooks onto DX4040 o-ring belt buckles. For backpack use, attach the adjustable
carrying harness onto the analyser by connecting the metal snap hooks onto DX4040 o-
ring belt buckles.
User should pay attention to attach correctly carrying harness or shoulder strap
onto the O Ring Belt Buckles in order to prevent accidents.
5.2.2 Installation Location
The analyser must be installed, and operated in a dry and condensation-free
place. The environment should be clean enough so that no dirt will accumulate
on or inside of analyser.
The installation location must be preferably free of strong vibrations. Shocks
during transport, for example, can cause serious damage. When transporting the
instrument, use the original wooden box or transport case with original shock
absorbing materials.
The equipment must not be operated in wet conditions.
Locate the AC/DC PSU so that the appliance coupler of it is easily reachable. The
socket outlet to which the AC/DC PSU is connected shall be in vicinity of the
equipment and easily reachable.
Disconnect the equipment from mains by mains plug from AC/DC PSU.
Refer to chapter “Gasmet DX4040 Technical Specifications” for further information.
In some cases, large temperature changes may affect the analysis results and the
accuracy of the measurements decreases. Re-measuring the background (zero)
spectrum eliminates the influence of the temperature.
5.2.3
Ventilation Requirements
Care should be taken in order to ensure a correct airflow around the DX4040 and avoid
fan obstruction. Do not block fans air circulation. This would decreases life expectancy
of most of the internal components.
5.2.4
Operating Requirements
DX4040 should operate only in two specific positions in order to obtain best
performance and safety of the analyser:
- In horizontal position, front panel facing the operator (for table use).
- In vertical position (operator wearing the
adjustable shoulder strap or the adjustable
carrying harness).
Do not operate the analyser standing on its
sides (fans facing up and downwards).
