Basic Applications Overview: Using the Address Book
Duplicating an Entry
You can duplicate existing entries, which can be helpful when you want to enter multiple people from a single organization. When
you duplicate an entry, the word Copy appears next to the name in the First Name field.
To duplicate an Address Book entry:
1. From the Address Book, tap a name you want to duplicate.
2. Do one of the following:
• Tap the
Address Edit
tab at the top of the screen; then tap
Duplicate Record
in the Record menu.
• In the text input area of the screen, drag a diagonal line from the lower left to upper right to display the
Command toolbar; then write a
T
in the text input area to initiate the Duplicate Record command.
3. Edit the record as necessary.
4. Tap
Done
when finished.
Selecting Different Types of Phone Numbers and Addresses
You can select the types of phone numbers or e-mail addresses that an Address Book entry displays. Any changes you make apply
only to the current entry.
To select a new label for an address, phone number or e-mail:
1. Tap the entry that you want to change in the Address list.
2. Tap
Edit
.
3. Tap the pick list next to the label you want to change.
Tap a triangle
Select a new label
from the pick list.
4. Select a new label.
5. Tap
Done
when finished.
