MULTI FUNCTION DISPLAY

Pilot Proﬁles

The Pilot Proﬁle section of the System Setup Page al-

lows the pilot to select, create, delete, and rename up to
a total of 25 proﬁles. Proﬁles can be created based on
Garmin Factory Defaults, Default Proﬁle Settings, Current
System Settings, and Custom Proﬁle Settings.

The Pilot Proﬁle section of the system setup page dis-

plays the following data:

•  The current active proﬁle
•  Number of proﬁles slots used
•  Number of proﬁle slots available

Selecting the Active Proﬁle

To select an active proﬁle:

1. Select the System Setup Page.
2. Press the

FMS

knob momentarily, to activate

the ﬂashing cursor.

3. Turn the

large FMS

knob to highlight the

ACTIVE ﬁeld in the Pilot Proﬁle box.

4. Turn the

small FMS

knob to display the pilot

proﬁle list.

5. Turn the

small or large FMS

knobs to highlight

the desired pilot proﬁle.

6. Press the

ENT

key. The G1000 loads and

displays the system settings for the selected
proﬁle.

NOTE

: Pilot proﬁle names cannot start with a

blank as the ﬁrst letter in the name

Creating a Proﬁle

To create a Proﬁle:

1. Select the System Setup Page.
2. Press the

FMS

knob momentarily, to activate

the ﬂashing cursor.

3. Turn the

large FMS

knob to highlight the

CREATE ﬁeld in the Pilot Proﬁle box.

4. Press the

ENT

key.

5. Turn the

small and large FMS

knobs to enter

a proﬁle name. Up to 16 letters and numbers
can be used.

6. Once the proﬁle name is entered, press the

ENT

key.

7. The cursor moves to the CURRENT SETTINGS

ﬁeld. If you want the new pilot proﬁle based
on the current system settings press the

ENT

key.

8. If you want the new pilot proﬁle to be based

on other settings, turn the

small FMS

knob to

display the settings list.

9. Turn the

small or large FMS

knobs to highlight

the desired settings and press the

ENT

key.

10. The cursor moves to the CREATE ﬁeld. Press

the

ENT

key to create a proﬁle. To cancel the

proﬁle, turn the

large FMS

knob to highlight

the CANCEL ﬁeld and press the

ENT

key. To

create and activate the proﬁle turn the

large

FMS

knob to highlight the CREATE & ACTIVATE

ﬁeld and press the

ENT

key.
