NOTE:
When turning on the system for use, the system remembers the last frequencies used and the active
COM transceiver state prior to shutdown.
1
Active Field
– The COM Frequency Box is composed of four fields; the two active frequencies are
on the left. An active COM frequency is displayed in green and indicates the COM transceiver is
selected on the Audio Panel (
COM1 MIC
or
COM2 MIC
Key). Both active COM frequencies appearing
in white indicate that no COM radio is selected for transmitting (
PA
Key is selected on the Audio Panel).
2
Frequency Transfer Arrow
– Moves between the upper and lower radio frequency fields with the
Frequency Tuning Box. Indicates which COM transceiver is selected for frequency transfer between the
Standby and Active fields.
3
Standby Field
– The COM Frequency Box is composed of four fields; the two standby frequencies
are on the right. Frequencies in the standby field are displayed in either white or gray. The standby
frequency in the tuning box is white. The other standby frequency is gray.
4
Frequency Tuning Box
– Moves between the upper and lower radio frequency fields with the
Frequency Transfer Arrow. Indicates which COM transceiver is to be tuned in the Standby Field.
5
Automatic Squelch Indication
– Indicates that Automatic Squelch is disabled. Automatic Squelch
quiets unwanted static noise when no audio signal is received, while still providing good sensitivity
to weak COM signals. When Automatic Squelch is disabled, COM audio reception is always on.
Continuous static noise is heard over the headsets and speaker, if selected.
