Temperature Compensated Altitude
Manually setting temperature compensated altitude:
1)
From the ‘FPL - Active Flight Plan’ Page, press the
MENU
Key. The ‘Page
Menu’ Window is displayed.
2)
Turn the
FMS
Knob to highlight ‘Temperature Compensation’.
3)
Press the
ENT
Key. The ‘Temperature Compensation’ Window is displayed
with the temperature highlighted.
4)
Use the small
FMS
Knob to change the
‘TEMPT At <airport>’ Field. The
compensated altitude is computed as the temperature is selected.
5)
Press the
ENT
Key. ‘Activate Compensation?’ is highlighted.
6)
Press the
ENT
Key.
The compensated altitudes for the approach are
shown in the flight plan.
Cancelling temperature compensated altitude:
1)
From the ‘FPL - Active Flight Plan’ Page, press the
MENU
Key. The ‘Page
Menu’ Window is displayed.
2)
Turn the
FMS
Knob to highlight ‘Temperature Compensation’.
3)
Press the
ENT
Key. The ‘Temperature Compensation’ Window is displayed.
4)
Press the
ENT
Key. ‘Cancel Compensation?’ is highlighted.
5)
Press the
ENT
Key.
The temperature compensated altitude at the FAF
is cancelled.
Entering a temperature compensated minimum into an approach:
1)
From the ‘FPL – Active Flight Plan’ Page, press the
PROC
Key. The
‘Procedures’ Window is displayed.
2)
Turn the large
FMS
Knob to highlight ‘Select Approach’. Press the
ENT
Key.
3)
Use the
FMS
Knob and the
ENT
Key to select the desired approach and
transition.
4)
Use the
FMS
Knob to place the flashing cursor in the ‘Minimums’ Box. Turn
the small
FMS
Knob to select ‘TEMP COMP’. Press the ENT Key.
5)
Turn the small
FMS
Knob to enter the minimums altitude. Press the
ENT
Key. The cursor is placed in the ‘TEMP AT <destination airport>’ Field.
