Operation
6.1 Bringing into service
ATTENTION

Before starting up the device, read the safety instruction; see section2
Safety.
1. Connect the device as specified and shown in the figures; see sections 3.3 Supply and
control connections, 3.4 Application connections and 4.3 Set-up .
2. Switch on the device at the main power switch I/O on the back. After a brief initialization
routine, during which STARTING is shown, the device is ready for operation.
6.2 Operating modes and system settings
6.2.1 Operating mode 1 Manual
In the manual operating mode, the setpoint of the pressure is readjusted by the system.

The pressure setpoint can be specified as a parameter or adjusted in real time while the op-
erating mode is active using the operating elements; see section
4.6.1 Operating elements
and display. Both the regulated pressure drop as well as the pressure increase are possible.
The pressure increase requires, depending on the application, a ventilation of the system.
The latter must be released in the vacuum controller's system settings (see section
6.2.6
System settings).
