Maintenance and repair
DANGER
Danger to life due to improper maintenance and repair!
Wrong or improper maintenance or repair can cause hazardous situations.
Ø
Only authorised specialist personnel that have been trained about the applicable
safety regulations for handling of oxygen plants are allowed to perform mainte-
nance and repairs.
DANGER
Danger to life from touching live parts!
Touching of live parts cause serious injuries or death.
Ø
Before starting any maintenance work, disconnect the machine by actuation of
the main switch or disconnection of the plug and secure it against accidental
switching.
CAUTION
Risk of injury due to hot surfaces!
During maintenance there is the risk of burning on hot components of the machine.
This can cause burns.
Ø
Wait for the machine to cool down.
Ø
Before maintenance and repair works allow the machine to cool down.
Ø
Wear suitable protective clothes, if necessary.
CAUTION
Risk of injury due to missing safety devices!
Missing safety devices can cause injuries.
Ø
Safety devices as well as safety guards on motor fans and ventilators may not be
removed.
7.1 Ensure operational safety
Regular maintenance work must be carried out in order to ensure operational safety.
Maintenance intervals also depend on the operational demands on the machine.
The whole plant should always be kept in a clean condition.
