2.1
Heat
Ensur e the OC-G-5646-2-ET is m ounted cor r ectly (see
), and that you do not exceed any of the
r atings for the unit (see
Section 1.1, Specifications and r atings
At its m axim um r atings, the OC-G-5646-2-ET’s enclosur e can exceed
65°C which is sufficient to cause a bur n if touched. Place in a position
wher e per sonnel cannot accidentally touch it and ensur e ther e is a
fr ee flow of air ar ound the unit.
2.2
Electrical
The OC-G-5646-2-ET pr oduces high ener gy pulses. Take car e to
connect the outputs cor r ectly and pr otect the output wir ing and load
fr om any shor t-cir cuits. When switched off, ener gy r em ains stor ed in
the OC-G-5646-2-ET for about 15 seconds.
The OC-G-5646-2-ET does not have com plete electr ical isolation of
inputs (including tr igger ing and com m unications por ts) and outputs,
ther efor e, please obser ve the following guidance:
Com puter equipm ent that is connected to the com m unication or tr ig-
ger por ts m ust be inter nally power ed or separ ated fr om m ains elec-
tr icity by double insulation/r einfor ced isolation or be appr oved to IEC
60950-1 standar d. All other equipm ent connected to the tr igger s or
other por ts m ust also have double insulation/r einfor ced isolation pr o-
tection fr om the m ains supply.
