Using the torque and angle wrench
42
If the previously set upper target torque or target
angle tolerance range is exceeded, the current
value is shown in red. The signal lamps light up
red. A long audible signal is heard.
The peak value which has been reached is shown
on the display. OK must be pressed to
acknowledge the display. The measured value is
saved at the same time.
To acknowledge the display without saving the
measured value, press the ESC button.
If you have switched on the "Vibration" function in
the menu, the vibration function indicates the
following statuses:
When the set torque is reached, the torque and
angle wrench vibrates briefly.
If the set tolerance limit is exceeded, the torque
and angle wrench vibrates continually. Once the
value has fallen below the tolerance limit again,
the vibration stops.
In this case, release the threaded connection.
Repeat the threaded connection with new
material.
Controlled left-hand tightening
Controlled left-hand tightening can be carried out
without further settings in the "Track" and "Peak"
function modes.
Working through a sequence plan
WARNING
Danger of severe or fatal injuries due
to an incorrect sequence when
tightening bolts.
Make sure that the bolts specified by
the sequence plan are tightened in
the relevant, correct sequence.
If you discover that you have
confused the sequence, the bolting
process must be cancelled
immediately.
Loosen the bolts and use new bolts if
necessary.
Repeat bolting.
CAUTION
Danger of injuries due to overloading
the torque and angle wrench.
In the event of overload, the red
signal lamp lights up and the
acoustic signal is sounded at
intervals. The torque and angle
wrench vibrates.
In this case, immediately cancel the
bolting process.
Use a torque and angle wrench
suitable for the load.
Calibrate the torque and angle
wrench each time after overloading.
Make sure that no forces are acting on the torque
and angle wrench.
Switch the torque and angle wrench on.
Call up the desired sequence plan, see page 35.
Carry out bolting according to the sequence plan.
Observe and adhere to the instructions provided
from page 39.
Using the torque and angle wrench
43
When working according to a sequence plan,
the next bolting operation within the sequence
plan is selected at the end of a bolting process.
Following the sequence plan's last bolting
operation, the first bolting operation is
automatically selected.
Manually saving bolting values
The bolting values can only be saved manually in
"Track" and "Peak" function modes.
"On" must be selected under saving in the
"Configuration" menu, see page 33.
Proceed as follows to save the bolting values
manually:
After the tightening procedure in "Track" or "Peak"
function mode, press the OK button.
The torque last applied is shown on the display.
Press the OK button again as long as the torque
value is displayed.
A short audible signal is heard. The value has been
saved.
The torque value is only saved once even if the
OK button is pressed several times.
Correcting and saving exceeded torque
If a threaded connection has unintentionally been
tightened with excessive torque, proceed as follows:
Loosen the threaded connection.
Press the OK button after loosening.
The torque last applied is shown on the display.
Press the OK button again.
A short audible signal is heard. The value has been
saved.
WARNING
Risk of injury due to damaged bolts or
workpieces.
Before tightening the threaded
connection again, check the bolt and
the workpiece for damage.
If in doubt, use a new bolt.
Tighten the threaded connection again.
The release torque stored in the software on the PC
is displayed in negative form.
