4 ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
This chapter describes how to complete the network, power supply, and peripheral device cabling connections.

Damage or Malfunction of the GAT Access 6100
- Read the information in this chapter carefully before connecting the GAT Access 6100.
- Complete the cabling connections in the sequence and at the terminals/connectors described.
4.1 Target Group
This chapter contains information for personnel responsible for completing the electrical connections. Observe the
legal requirements for electrical installations where the GAT Access 6100 is being installed, e.g., electrical connection
only by suitably trained electricians, material specifications, and tools used. Also observe the environmental operating
conditions of the GAT Access 6100.
4.2 Power Connection
4.2.1 GAT Access 6100 F Enrollment Station
The GAT Access 6100 F Enrollment Station is delivered with its power supply already connected. The power supply
can be plugged directly into a mains power (U
AC
230 V) outlet.
4.2.2 GAT Access 6100 / GAT Access F BIO / GAT TimeAxx6150
These terminals require 12 or 24 VDC (see technical data) supplied via a separate power supply (LPS and SELV -
Limited Power Source and Safety Extra-Low Voltage). GANTNER offers different power supplies, e.g., GAT SP 014/1
(Part No. 557787) or GAT SP 031/1 (Part No. 246933), to suit various applications.
NOTE!
If multiple terminals are sharing a single power supply, always check the maximum power output of the
power supply. For example, one GAT SP 014/1 can supply two GAT Access 6100 terminals.
