Preparation
Choosing a location
When choosing the location of the device, ensure that the permitted ambient tempe-
rature (see
on page 18) in the direct vicinity is observed and that it is
not influenced by other devices.
The air inlets and outlets must
not
be blocked. Allow
at least 10 cm
of clearance
behind and in front of the device to enable strong air circulation.
Planning the video bandwidth
Because of the very high data rates of the video streams, certain bandwidth restricti-
ons must be observed when planning and operating the device:
System:
The device can process simultaneous video streams with a maximum total
size of
2,000 MP/s
.
Video cards:
Each video card (see page 21) can process simultaneous video streams
with a maximum total size of
1,200 MP/s
.
IMPORTANT:
The
PersonalWorkplace-Controller
continuously monitors the internal
temperature during operation.
Take steps to reduce the ambient temperature immediately if the message
tempera-
ture is now at [x] °C
is displayed.
NOTE:
If the data rate of the incoming video streams exceeds the available band-
width, an
overrun
message will be displayed and some output windows will display
no
content.
NOTE:
The video performance of each video card is sufficient for processing up
to nine HD video streams simultaneously.
