Displays a brief listing of the RS-7’s command set.
Syntax:

CTY - Calibration Type, Radiant or Irradiant source
This command is used to query the RS-7 as to the type of calibration currently active, either an Irradiant source
(absolute units of µW/cm
2
or lm/m
2
[lux]), or a Radiant source (absolute units of µW/cm
2
/sr
or cd/m
2
[nits]). The
RS-7 returns either an “I” for an Irradiant source, or an “R” for a Radiant source. Note that an Accessory Transfer
Function (see
ATF
) can modify the calibration type
CTY
to switch between Radiant and Irradiant source, as
necessary for an accessory attached to the RS-7. Also, for a standard sphere-configuration RS-7 with
CTY
type
“R”, the unit can be operated in Irradiance mode (see
IRR
); in this case,
CTY
will still remain as “R” and thus you
must check
IRR
as well to determine the type of absolute units in effect.
Syntax:
CTY
report current calibration type
Examples:
cty
request calibration type
R
calibration is for a Radiant source, units are µW/cm
2
/sr (
UNI
= 0) and cd/m
2
(
UNI
= 1)

- CAL - Calibration Information string
When the RS-7 receives its spectral calibration, information such as the calibration date and CRC (see
SDC
) of
the spectral data are stored here.
Syntax:
CAL
report calibration information string
Examples:
cal
request calibration information
2016-06-04 CRC32=DAB0FEA1
calibration date & CRC32 of the spectral calibration data
