7.1 Shutting Down the System
WARNING. Warn operating room personnel prior to venting the Visual-ICE™ MRI System to
avoid startling them.
1. If you did not choose to automatically vent the Visual-ICE MRI Cryoablation System after pressing
End Procedure
on the touch screen interface, perform these steps to manually vent the system:
NOTE:
Reference Section 5.2, Step 13 for information on selecting the automatic venting option
at the end of the cryoablation procedure.
a.
Turn the shutoff valve on the gas cylinders clockwise to close the gas cylinders.
b. Turn the Manual Vent Valve on the Visual-ICE MRI System to the OPEN position to release
the high-pressure gas from the system.
c. Turn the Manual Vent Valve to the CLOSED position after gas venting completes.
2. Disconnect the high-pressure gas supply lines from the Visual-ICE MRI System and from the gas
cylinders. Store the gas supply lines and gauge assemblies in the storage compartment provided
CAUTION.
Do not use excessive force to disconnect the gas supply lines from the system.
The connectors will not disconnect if any gas pressure remains in the system. Vent the system
completely using the Manual Vent Valve and then try to disconnect the supply lines again.
3.
Cover the helium and argon inlets with the humidity plugs.
4. Press the
Logout
button on the
Startup Screen
to log out of the system.
5. Press the
Shutdown
button on the
Login Screen
to power down the system. A message appears
requesting confirmation to shut the system down.
6.
Wait until the screen goes black. Turn the Power Control Knob to the
OFF position.
7.
OPTIONAL:
If an external monitor is connected, disconnect the auxiliary display cable from the
auxiliary display port on the Console.
8.
Unplug the Visual-ICE MRI Console and wrap the power cord around the cord wrap bracket on
the rear of the Console.
WARNING. Do not pull on the power cord. Grasp the plug, not the power cord, to
disconnect the device from the wall socket.
