Establishing a direct connection
Requirement:
Make sure that the hob is switched on
and is in search mode. Search mode means that the
connection process on the hob has been started. Refer
to your hob's user manual for more information.
1.
Open the Home Connect settings menu.

2.
Turn the control knob clockwise to ​⁠.

After approx. 5 seconds, the illuminated ring on the
control knob flashes blue and yellow alternately.

The hob is connected to the extractor hood once
the illuminated ring on the control knob continuously
lights up green.
3.
Close the Home Connect settings menu.

The illuminated ring on the control knob goes out.
4.
Turn the control knob for the downdraft ventilation to
​⁠. Only then is the operation via the hob possible.
Re-establishing a direct connection
Requirement:
If, after around 30 seconds, a connec-
tion could not be established, the illuminated ring on
the control knob lights up red.

Turn the control knob to another position and then
back to ​⁠.

The illuminated ring on the control knob lights up
blue.
a
After approx. 5 seconds, the illuminated ring on the
control knob flashes blue and yellow alternately.
a
The appliance attempts to establish a connection
again.
Connecting another hob to the downdraft ventilation
In order to connect another hob to the downdraft ventil-
ation, run through the direct connection again with the
second hob.
1.
Switch off the Wi-Fi on the first hob. To do so, follow
the instructions in the hob's user manual.
2.
Start the connection for the second hob, then start
the connection for the downdraft ventilation.
The connection process may take a few minutes.

The illuminated ring on the control knob lights up
green. The hob is connected to the downdraft ventil-
ation.
3.
Switch the Wi-Fi on the first hob back on again.
11 Basic settings
You can configure the basic settings for your appliance
to meet your needs.
11.1 Opening the basic settings menu
1.
Push the control knob in. While the control knob is
pushed in, carry out the following steps without in-
terruption:

Turn one notch anti-clockwise to ​⁠ ​⁠.
‒
Turn the control knob three notches clockwise to
​⁠ ​⁠.
‒
Turn the control knob two notches anti-clockwise
to ​⁠ ​⁠.

The illuminated ring on the control knob lights up
yellow.
2. Select the required setting using the control knob.

After approx. 5 seconds, the illuminated ring on the
control knob lights up green.
3.
To change the setting, turn the control knob anti-
clockwise to ​⁠ and use the control knob to select
the required setting.
a The illuminated ring on the control knob lights up
yellow.
4.
To save the settings, exit the basic settings menu
