How to change the picture advance speed
The picture advance speed for the 3d history display sets how quickly vertical
scan lines move across the display. Even when viewing the same bottom or a
school of fish, how those are displayed changes according to the picture advance
speed. When viewing a bottom with sharp rises and falls such as a reef-bed or
submerged wreck, a fast advance speed helps to “smooth out” the bottom for
easier viewing. On the other hand, when viewing a smooth bottom with little to no
undulations, a slow advance speed helps to identify rises and falls.
