How to program the function keys
Sub menus, menu items and the timer function can be programmed to the function
keys.
Note:
Some menu items cannot be programmed to the function keys. See the menu
tree at the back of this manual for the items which can be programmed to function
keys.
1. Place the cursor on the menu item to program to a
function key (the item is framed with a light-blue rect-
angle). For the timer function, left-click the timer dis-
play (00:00:00) in the [Timer] window, and the
indication is highlighted in light blue.
2. Press desired function key for more than one second.
The message shown below appears for five seconds. If the message disappears,
press the same function key again.
Note:
If the menu selected at step 2 is already programmed to a function key, the
following message appears for five seconds. To continue the programming, press
the function key again within five seconds. The message shown at step 2 reap-
pears.
3. Press the same function key again, and the message shown below appears. This
completes the procedure for programming a function key.
After registration is completed, the number of the function key appears on the left of
the menu item or timer indication.
