Sounder Menu
The [Sounder] menu contains items related to adjustment of the sounder picture.
HF and LF menus
The HF and LF menus set up the high and low frequencies as related to TX, RX.
Menu item
Description
[Color Erase]
Erases unwanted noise. See section 1.25.
[White Edge]
Gives the seabed echo a white edge. Useful when trying
to separate bottom-feeding fish from the seabed. Set a
high value for a thick white line or a low value for a thin
white line. Set to [Off] to disable this function.
[Bottom Zone] - [Above]&
[Bottom Zone] - [Below]
Sets the area in which the seabed is displayed when
auto-range mode is active.
Note:
This menu item is available only if [Auto Range] is
not selected from the [Range][Auto] menu in the [System]
menu.

Description
[Clutter]
Removes unwanted echoes (sediment, etc.). See section 1.12.
[TVG Level]
Time Varied Gain. Adjusts the TVG level. See section 1.26.
[TVG Distance]
Adjusts the maximum distance at which TVG is applied. See
section 1.26.
[STC]
Sensitivity Time Control. Removes unwanted echoes near the sur-
face. Use this function when you want to see fish near the surface
clearly.
Set the STC value according to your requirement. A setting of [0]
disables the STC.
