2.29 Dynamic Range
You can change the dynamic range to erase unwanted weak echoes (sea reflections,
etc.). Select [Narrow], [Normal] or [Wide] depending on conditions.
1. Press the MENU key to open the menu.

to select [Echo] and press the ENTER key.
3. Use

to select [Display-Dynamic] and press the ENTER key.
4. Use

or

to select [Narrow], [Normal] or [Wide] then press the ENTER key.
[Narrow] : Erase weak echoes.
[Normal] : Normal use
[Wide] : Display weaker echoes.
5. Press the MENU key to close the menu.
2.30 Echo Average
To identify true target echoes from the sea clutter, echoes are averaged over succes-
sive picture frames. If an echo is solid and stable, the echo is shown in its normal in-
