After you have entered the serial numbers for all of the handsets you can exit the menu by pressing the menu key.
You must also input this internal phone number for channel 0 of the master handset. This number is then shown in
the display when you switch the master handset off and then back on.
Enrolling other handsets
You can enroll (log on) the other new handsets at the system after the serial numbers for the units have been entered
in the system using the master handset. The procedure for the handsets is the same as the one used for the master
handset (see page 4).
Logging on the handsets at an elmeg DECT 400 system
The DECT400 system is designed for being connected to elmeg ICT pabx systems. After the DECT module has been
assembled and started, 8 DECT-subscribers are automatically configured. The possible number of DECT-subscri-
bers depends on the pabx system being used and can be programmed using the Professional Configurator.
Loggin on a DECT-subscriber into the system must first have been enabled. Enrolling the handset is enabled using
the Professional Configurator, or with the code

the PABX. The LED on the PABX module flickers as long as enrolling is possible. To enroll the handset, proceed as
described on page 4. The handset is stored at the next available position of the DECT module and the corresponding
internal extension number is assigned to it.
If you wish to assign a specific internal extension number to that handset, store the handsets’ serial number at the de-
sired position of the DECT-module (Professional Configurator). Then proceed as described on page 4. The handset
is stored at the selected position and the corresponding internal extension number is assigned to it.
To enroll a handset, an unassigned DECT-subcriber must be available.
Once you have successfully completed logging on your unit this is indicated by an acoustic signal followed after a few
seconds by this symbol

in the display of your handset. In addition, the internal extension number or the name assig-
ned to the handset are displayed on the display of the pabx system.

Automatic and manual system selection
Each handset can be enrolled at up to 10 systems, e. g.: at several elmeg DECT300 / 400 systems in your company and
in your private quarters. Changeover between these systems can be performed either automatically or manually.
When the automatic changeover mode is activated, the system with the best reception is always selected.
