Configuration: SNMP
The ComPoint can be configured for basic SNMP functions. As a
result, it can be found by SNMP tools in the network. Moreover, it
supports cold start trap.
• Enable SNMP
Here, you can activate the SNMP function.
• Enable Traps
Activate this field if you want to send traps.
• Cold Start
The cold start trap is a signal which is sent to the SNMP server if a
cold start of the device has been made. Check the Cold Start checkbox
if you want to use this function.
• Trap IP Address
Enter the IP address of the SNMP server to which you want to send
traps.
• Contact
According to the SNMP standard, you can e.g. enter the contact per-
son for the ComPoint here.
• Location
Here, you can enter the location of the ComPoint.
