It is recommended that an independent
power supply line be provided for the
water heater. Connect one 120 volt
(60Hz) fused powerline to terminal block
as shown in Figure 5a. Connect
applicable wires to neutral and ground.
Connect a ground wire to green colored
ground lug in electrical control box.
WARNING
Do not attempt to start water heater to
test wiring before filling and purging the
water heater. A dry fire will seriously
damage the water heater and may
result in property damage or personnel
injury and is not covered by warranty.
CAUTION
Label all wires prior to disconnection
when servicing controls. Wiring errors
can cause improper and dangerous
operation. Verify proper operation after
servicing.
