1. DESCRIPTION
The
Microsol
SWP Advanced
is a differential thermostat for solar heating that
controls the water circulation pump based on the temperature differential between the solar
collector and the pool or thermal reservoir. The controller has functions to prevent
overheating and freezing of water in the solar collector. Also provides access protection to
the parameters configuration.
The
Microsol
Advanced
series is characterized by distinctive design for use in
residential environments, by operation facility With easy access keys to main features of
the controller and the use of the custom display. The display technology employed allows
providing a simple and complete information of the solar heating system, such as: output
status, operation mode of the pump, position and temperature of sensors.

5. OPERATIONS FOR DOMESTIC USER
5.1 MAP OF KEYS
The controller has facilitated accesses to the pertinent resources to the user. Following
table describing these:
Short press: temperature setting for heating the pool / reservoir
Long press (4 seconds): access to advanced settings
Long press (see F17 parameter): enable/disable lock of functions
Short press: Toggles the display of the temperature (DIF, T1, T2) for 10 seconds
Short press: Toggles the pump mode for MANUAL ON (MAN)
Short press: Toggles the pump mode for AUTOMATIC (AUT)
Short press: Toggles the pump mode for OFF (Disconnected)
5.2 POOL/RESERVOIR HEATING TEMPERATURE (T2 SENSOR)
Sets the comfort temperature of the pool or thermal reservoir (T2). Upon
reaching this temperature the water circulation pump is disconnected,
avoiding thermal discomfort. To adjust this parameter give a short press on
the
SET
key. Use or keys to adjust the value. To confirm this give a short
press on the
SET
key and the value is saved in the controller's memory. This
parameter can be adjusted between 0.0 to 105 °C or between 32 to 221°F.
5.3 PUMP WATER OPERATION MODE
To change the operation mode of the water pump use , and keys. The circulation
water pump between the solar collector and thermal pool or reservoir can operate in three
different modes. Description below:
Obs.:
In the pump mode adjustment, the controller assumes the new Mode 5 seconds
after your selection. This is also the time required for the parameter to be stored in its
memory.
When the MAN mode is selected (MANUAL), the operation mode remains in this state for the
period defined in function
[,F07]
- Maximum pump time turned in manual mode. After, the
controller takes on the AUT mode (AUTOMATIC). If you wish to return to AUT mode before this
period, press the key at any time.
5.4 VIEW OTHER TEMPERATURES
To toggle between the display of the T1 temperature sensor, T2 sensor or differential of
these (T1-T2), give short press on key until the desired temperature appears on the
display. On digits in the upper display the measured temperature is displayed, and on the
digits of the lower display the sensor description.
The selected temperature is displayed on the display for 10 seconds, after this preferential
indication is displayed again, as set in
[,F01]
parameter -
Preferred Indication.
5.5 LOCK OF FUNCTIONS
For security purposes and to prevent unauthorized users from changing the settings of the
controller, there is a lockout of functions feature. With this setting enabled, the parameters
cannot be changed, however, can be viewed. In the lock condition, trying to change the
value of a parameter is displayed the
[,LOC][,,On]
message on the display.
To enable / disable the locking function should keep pressed the key the time set in
parameter
[,F17]
- Time to lock functions.
The icon indicates the user the lock state, when lit indicates that the lock function is
active.
CLUE:
with the lock functions enabled, you avoid children, visitors or curious will change
the operation mode or controller parameters. When there is need for a change, just hold
down the key to enable / disable this feature.
