When Malfunction Occurs
When the ECG Waveform is Unstable
When the ECG waveform is unstable, check the following items.
Is the place of examination appropriate?
Is there noise generating electrical devices such as x-ray devices or ultrasound devices nearby? If there is, turn
OFF the power of those devices or select another place for examination.
Is the temperature of the place of examination kept within 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F) range?
Is the humidity of the place of examination low?
Is the patient cable connected properly?
Is it securely locked?
Is the lead cable securely connected to the electrode?
Is the electrode status good?
Is the electrode attaching area of the patient's skin thoroughly wiped with alcohol swab, and cleaned with a skin
cleaner?
Are the electrodes within expiration date and electrode gel not dried? If expired or dried, use new electrodes.
Are proper electrodes used? New and old electrodes or different types of electrodes should not be mixed up.
Are the electrodes attached to the correct positions?
NOTE
If the electrode attachment is loose, or if the cable is pulled, noise may interfere to the ECG
waveform.
When the Equipment does not Operate
When the FX-8200 does not operate, check the following items.
Is the AC power properly supplied?
Is the commercial 100/240 V AC power supplied?
Is the power supply cable securely connected to the equipment?
Is the power supply cable securely connected to the outlet?
Is any external equipment interfering?
Is the power of the external equipment turned ON?
Is specified cable used for connecting the external equipment?
Is there any breakage on the cable connecting the external equipment?
