Check if the corresponding port (COM1 or COM2) is set for the TCON on the
“Communication Setup” screen.
The <TCON Cross Talk> message is displayed.
Cause : Other bedside monitor with the same TCON ID may exist.
Solution : Check the TCON ID of other bedside monitor in the same TCON group, and if the
same TCON ID exists, set a different TCON ID.
<TCON Invalid Setting> message is displayed.
Cause : The TCON channel setting is outside the allowable range.
Solution : Make sure the TCON channel number is within the allowable range on “Initial Setup”
> “TCON Setup” > “Channel”.
Battery
The battery cannot be charged. Battery discharges quickly after charging and does not
operate.
Cause 1 : The battery life has expired.
Solution : The battery is a consumable product. Replace it every year.
Cause 2 : The ambient temperature is too high or too low.
Solution : Charge the battery in an ambient temperature between 10 to 30ºC.
Cause 3 : The AC power is not ON.
Solution : Connect the power cable.
The operation time is short although the battery is charged.
Cause 1 : Use in a location that has a lower ambient temperature.
Solution : If the battery is used in a particularly cold location, the operation time becomes
shorter.
Cause 2 : The battery life has expired.
Solution : The battery is a consumable product. Replace it every year.
The battery LED does not light during battery charge.
Cause : The battery temperature is high.
Solution : For safety reasons, if the battery is charged in a repetitive manner, its temperature
will be high and the charging operation will be in a standby mode until the battery
temperature decreases. When the battery temperature decreases, the charging
operation will automatically start.
The <Charge Battery> message is displayed.
Cause : Due to low battery condition, the operable time is less than 5 minutes.
Solution : Plug in the AC power cable.
The <Low Battery> message is displayed.
Cause : Due to low battery condition, the operable time is less than 15 minutes.
Solution : Plug in the AC power cable.

The users should not perform the battery installation procedure as electric
shock may result to the patient and operator or malfunction of the
equipment may occur.
