Upgrading the Program 

In this section, the procedure to upgrade the program is explained. 
 
The DS-7001 system bedside monitor adopts the compact flash card (hereinafter referred to as 
CF card) for the upgrading procedure.   
 
There are following 2 methods to upgrade the program. 
 

Standard Install Process 

This is the standard install process.    The upgrading can be performed from the preset menu. 
For normal usage, use this method to upgrade the DS-7001 system bedside monitor. 
 

CAUTION 

During the standard install process, do not perform the following 
actions.    Otherwise, the software error will occur, and forced install 
process may become necessary.

Inserting / removing of the CF card 
Plugging / unplugging of the AC power cable 

 
 

Forced Install Process 

This process forcibly installs or upgrades the program to the DS-7001 system bedside monitor. 
The install process will automatically start when the system is started.    Use this forced install 
process when failure of the DS-7001 system bedside monitor occurs, or when the standard 
install process from the preset menu is not possible.   
 

CAUTION 

For normal usage, the forced install process will not be necessary.     
Use this process only when the standard install process is not 
possible due to software error.
