Battery
This section describes about the handling and storage of the battery pack.
Reference For procedure to attach / replace the battery pack, refer to “6. Periodic Replacement”.
Handling the Battery

The battery pack can be continually used for more than 300 times (or about 2 years) under
normal temperature, but note that the continuous use will degrade the battery and shortens
the usable time.
If the battery operation time is short even though it is fully charged, the battery pack needs to
be replaced.
If the charging duration of the battery pack is short, the battery pack needs to be replaced.
When the battery pack level becomes low, charge the battery well in advance for the next
use.
Storing the Battery
To take advantage of the qualities of the battery pack, pay attention to the following when
storing.

Do not store in an environment outside the specified temperature range or excessive high
humidity. This may result in leakage caused by expansion/contraction inside the battery
pack, or rusting of the metal part.
Long-term Storage
If left installed in the monitor for long period of time, the electrolyte may leak, or inactivate the
battery which degrades the capacity recovery after storage. Therefore, always remove the
battery from the monitor when storing for long period of time.
