*1: For a single-chassis configuration, the inactive/cold maintenance procedure is the same as that for stopping the system, therefore see
the procedure for system-stopped maintenance.
*2: It is necessary to use dynamic reconfiguration (DR) to disconnect a chassis requiring maintenance from the physical partition.
Note - After replacing the CPU memory unit lower, you can reduce your work time by
switching the microSD card with the one mounted in the CPU memory unit requiring
maintenance. This eliminates the need to match the firmware version. For details, see " 7.6
Switching the microSD Card ."
7.2.2 Maintenance flow
Table 7-2 lists the sequence of the maintenance procedure for the CPU memory units.
To expand/reduce a CPU memory unit upper, it is necessary to remove the CPU
memory unit from the chassis and then install it again.
The procedure for expanding a CPU memory unit upper is the same as that for
installing a CPU memory unit upper. The procedure for reducing a CPU memory
unit upper is the same as that for removing a CPU memory unit upper.
In addition, the CPU memory unit upper and CPU memory unit lower are connected
by the PCI Express (PCIe) cable. The procedure varies depending on whether the
PCIe cable is connected to the CPU memory unit lower.
