4.6 Display LED/Backlight Driver (JP5, JP7)
The on-board Display Backlight driver has the following jumpers:
JP5
Provides control over the Shutdown pin (Active low) of Backlight Driver IC (U5)
JP7
Enables/Disables Backlight dimming capability.
Jumper
Setting
Description

1-2
Display backlight shutdown disabled (Shutdown pin
connected to 5V supply)
2-3
Connects MCU’s P134 to Shutdown pin (Active
low) therefore allowing user-defined control.
Open
Shutdown pin is pulled low. Display backlight is
OFF.

4.7 Push Buttons (SW4, SW5, SW6, SW7, SW8)
The following push buttons are available on the board. Please make sure that the internal
pull up(s) are enabled on the button pins before using them. If the use of button pins is
desired for some other pin function, this can be done without requiring any change on the
board. However, it should be ensured that the buttons are not pressed during the alternate
usage of the pins.
SW4
When pressed, pulls low MCU’s INT11 (pin 159)
SW5
When pressed, pulls low MCU’s INT13 (pin 99)
SW6
When pressed, pulls low MCU’s INT14 (pin 100)
SW7
When pressed, pulls low MCU’s INT15 (pin 160)
SW8
When pres
sed, pulls low MCU’s INT12 (pin 98)
