Maintenance Manual

 RX900 

S1

Main memory

The baseboard can be configured with up to 8 CPUMEMRs. Each CPUMEMR 
includes one processor and can be equipped with up to 16 memory modules.

There are two ways to expand the main memory:

Filling the empty slots of an already populated CPUMEMRs, see 

"Installing 

additional DIMM memory modules" on page 191

●

Installing an additional CPUMEMRs, see 

"Installing a CPUMEMR" on 

page 183

.

The number and location of available PCIe slots depends on the 
CPUMEMR configuration. Make sure that the planned CPUMEMR 
configuration enables you to use the PCIe slots needed for the individual 
use case of the server.
