Removing a hot-plug expansion card

CAUTION!

The actions described in this section may only be performed by
personnel with the appropriate technical training. The device can be
seriously damaged if it is opened without authorization or if repairs
are attempted by untrained personnel.

Each slot in the server must have either an expansion card or:
–
Hot-plug PCIe slot: a dummy module, that is a retaining plate
with an attached removal tool
–
Non-hot plug PCIe slot: a slot cover
●

Starting and completing the task:

Removing the expansion card: tool-less
Authorized personnel
Authorized specialist personnel can carry out replacement tasks for
integral server components. Ask you local Fujitsu service center for
more detailed information.

Procedures indicated as "Authorized personnel only“ must be
done by Fujitsu service personnel or technicians trained by
Fujitsu for doing these tasks. Please note that unauthorized
interference with the system will void the warranty and exempt the
manufacturer from all liability.
